We don’t have high rise hotels on our island and with holiday rentals like Au Soleil, we probably never will. “In the sunlight” couldn’t be a more perfect name for this four bedroom holiday rental in Anna Maria Island. Try to describe it and not use the words “warm, bright, and inviting”. Go ahead and try; we’re happy to wait. Spend your vacation here and have all the luxury of a hotel while still getting to live like a local.

And one of the best perks of being a local is location, location, location. This holiday rental is less than two blocks from the Gulf of Mexico and our shimmering, quartz sand beaches. You’ll be close enough to carry everything so load up that beach wagon, grab a Frisbee, and slather your sunscreen. If you’re looking for something to do on dry land, hop the island’s free local trolley – you’re also within a seashells’ throw of a stop!

While you’re going to love being within walking distance of the beach and our free trolley, some days there won’t be any need to leave the house. You’ll wake up in one of the bedrooms, maybe in the master king to dreamy blue walls, with your alarm clock and office coffee a distant memory. Premium sheets make up the bed, so it might take longer than usual to untangle and get your feet on the ground.

Breakfast will have to be next and while you sit in the cozy dining area, you can’t help but look out towards the private pool deck. With everything sundrenched and sparkling, why not spend the day out there? Let the kids tire themselves out with Marco Polo and catch up on your reading. By the time the sky is melting into one of our famous sunsets, the little ones will be close to tuckered out. After some barbeque chicken and seafood from the propane grill and a bedtime story, they’ll be asleep and that spa outside is going to just be begging for the grown-ups to take a soak.

While it’s big enough for the whole family, Au Soleil is really perfect for any vacationer with taste. Even your morning grooming will be fabulous, surrounded by buttery yellow walls and overhead faucets in the shower. Wander from one plush armchair to the next, enjoying a movie on one of the flat screens or just taking time to breathe in the sunshine that pours in over everything.
