House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 10 Sleeps
Unique and enchanting this refreshing retreat is located on a salt water lagoon just off the Mason Creek inlet to the Gulf of Mexico. The 1840 square foot 2002 Jacobsen Modular Home is nestled among native Cypress, Palm, Oak and Cedar trees on nearly 1 acre of land. This property is in an area of secluded homes (only three other homes are on this canal) but is only a few minutes away from the eating, shopping and sight seeing venues of Homosassa. In the backyard you’ll find an incredible screened-in tiki hut awaiting your family get-togethers. At night swap ghost stories (or tales of the big one that got away) around the campfire ring; in the morning watch the mullet jump and the dolphin and manatees play. On the opposite bank of the lagoon is a preservation area which begins the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge. Unbelievable exploration opportunities abound as the inlet is directly connected to the various Homosassa Springs waterways including the upriver springs, the Gulf of Mexico, the Crystal Reefs/Island, and the nationally recognized canoe and kayaking trails. As rustic and naturally beautiful as this area is you will not suffer for lack of modern conveniences inside the home. All modern appliances and cable TV, WiFi internet access, vaulted ceilings, fresh and invigorating Homosassa Springs water system and a romantic and cozy fireplace are there to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
River Safaris and other Nature tours are available in town, or bring
your own boat and make an adventure of your own, if you dare.
